About This Tool:
This simple online tool helps women understand body weight in relation to height. By entering basic details like age, height, and weight, users can instantly see their Body Mass Index result along with a clear health category. It’s designed to promote awareness, support wellness goals, and make health tracking effortless and accurate.
Body Mass Index measures weight relative to height to estimate whether someone is underweight, normal, overweight, or obese. In US units, start with weight in pounds and height in inches. Square height in inches, then divide weight by that squared value. Multiply result by 703 to get final number.
Categories include: underweight, less than 18.5; normal, 18.5 to 24.9; overweight, 25 to 29.9; obese, 30 or higher. These ranges provide a general idea of risk linked to excess or insufficient weight.
For example, someone weighing 150 pounds and standing 65 inches tall would first square 65, which equals 4,225. Divide 150 by 4,225 to get 0.0355. Multiply 0.0355 by 703, giving 24.9, placing that individual at upper end of normal range.
Tracking this number over time shows trends in weight relative to height. Although it does not capture everything about health, it offers a simple way to see patterns and identify potential concerns.
